Probably isn't the right place for this post so admin, feel free to move.

Is anyone able to help me out with something?

Assuming taxiways, runway length, terminal capacity, ect were not constraining, roughly how many movements per hour could an airport with this configuration of runways achieve?

Just to follow up on this, this report here suggests LAX achieves between 133-167 movements per hour with a Similar configuration. Do you think it would be safe to assume 160 movements per hour is an achievable target for my layout above? Is it normal practice to take the lower ILS capacity as the operational capacity? Would the above layout also gave the benefit of being able to operate 3 of the runways independently, or are they too close?

@Leedsrule. LAX does not have a similar configuration. Their runways are much closer together than 590 and 760 meters. More like 213 and 244 meters apart. Also not really the correct thread for this. Maybe a new one called Airport Theory or something?

Hi bubbalo, let me ask you a question about Istanbul airports. The Atatürk airport (ISL/LTBA), was closed to commercial traffic in April 2019, so its passenger movement decreased consirerably last year; closing the year with 16,072,534 passengers. The commercial traffic of Ataturk airport was moved to the new Istanbul International Airport (IST/LTFM), that began operating at the end of 2018; in its first full year of operations (2019); this airport mobilized 52,578,008 passengers. So, why have you recorded the sum of both airports; 68,650,542 passengers; as one?. I think they should be separated each.

Thanks for the attention to this topic. Cheers.

@Bren: I am aware and already working on different solution :)
@ROLIM: They should definitely be separate, I agree. However I have not done it yet since it causes major disruption in my charts and graphs, for example in January 2020/2019 growth with ISL would have been more than 5600%. That would have been literally off the chart :) Hope you get my point. However in the future they will be separated for sure

Thanks for the updates Bubbalo as we face interesting times ahead. Airlines will cut capacities by almost the half worldwide in the next month due to lack of demand.

ICN reported a drop in passengers by more than 40% in February. Keen to seen Chinese airports figures in February and March.
