It's some time since I attempted to post my files for Manchester/MAN/EGCC airport and so I thought I would restart with figures for March 2020. Please let me know if you have any constructive suggestion of how I might be able to improve the format.

Manchester Statistics – March 2020

Introduction

The following new destination appeared in March.

St Maarten appeared for the first time with 232 passengers

Million passenger routes (Rolling annual figures)
Amsterdam - 1,018,433 passengers

The following domestic statistics are missing from the CAA report for February.
No airports that connect to Manchester were excluded

Traffic statistics
Passengers – 942,255 -54.3% on March 2019. Rolling Year – 28,220,273 – 1.2% on 2019
Movements – 8,877 -38.9% on March 2019. Rolling Year – 189,710 -2.5% on 2019

Top 25 destinations - by passenger numbers

Top destinations with highest percentage increase.

Figures for the European and long-haul destinations that I consider to be the main points for our connecting traffic.

Three more files from me which I normally include but which possibly need a little more explanation.

The first is the comparison between March 2000 and March 2020. It's interesting to see the effect that Covid-19 has already had on the figures as all, except 2 destinations, are currently at lower levels that 20 years ago - amazing and quite frightening.

Load-factors for selected long-haul routes. Please note that Addis Ababa, Houston and Singapore are destinations share with another airport and therefore Manchester does not have 100pc of the seats available.

Finally I've used a variation of my load-factor sheet to show how the number of available seats has changed over the last 4 months. Basically we are looking at a reductions of over 90pc.

With this figure DEL is leading the worldwide passenger statistic for the month of February 2020 so far. Missing (not released) data from ATL, HND and DXB which could have (in theory) more.

Hey guys,

We have entered another month of 2020 so its time to bring back some interesting data. As all of you know, COVID-19 pandemic is creating unheard and unseen situations in aviation, therefore March data and onward are very distorted. In addition not all the airports have released their monthly statistics, some of them not even January nor February data. Please keep in mind these downloadable datasheets and datasets are not fully updated, which means some of the major airports data are missing, like ATL. It is also visible on the picture below, that for March I have data only for 856 airports out of 1359 that I have in my database. I will update when data are available. In the meantime enjoy the data and stay healthy!

First numbers of April are out! What an apocalyptic view!
I have listed airports that had more than 100k passengers last April to eliminate the small regional airports. Interesting to see that most of the non-Chinese airports dropped more than 90%, some of them even 100% for example SAW.

Lets see what airport is going to reign in April, is it going to be one of the airport in China, Indonesia, Japan, USA? What are your bets?

Hey guys,
I still dont have data for all airport but based on various sources I can estimate busiest airport in April 2020.

As you can see CTU is the winner and the only airport having more than 2 million passengers.
Its quite interesting that 41 of 50 busiest airports are located in ASP region and 37 are Chinese airports! (although it might change once i have the full figures)
ATL as the worlds biggest airport is at 31st spot, even below DFW
Most of international airport are simply far behind as national traffic was not affected as much, therefore majority of the airports in the rank are Chinese airports

I will keep you up to date with latest figures more frequently :)

hi there guys, I made a really simple yet very informative video of Curitiba's international airport. Curitiba is a major city in the south of Brazil, the video contains a lot of airport stats so on and so forth and I give you a tour of the airport and what it's like in the pandemic. Please stop by, drop a like, leave a comment, share and subscribe if you can. I've published on my channel vlogs in English and Portuguese about other Brazilian airports too. Check it out! ;-)

#COVID19 So far we are on track for resumption of traffic according to our draft traffic scenario and could get to -40% of traffic in Sept but this still dependent on ongoing coordinated measures across States.
