Al-Khor Stadium

Its Part of Alkhor City master-plan, it will be built regardless of the 2nd December FIFA decision of 2022 World Cup host.

Al-Khor is a brand new 45,330-capacity stadium with a stunning seashell motif and a flexible roof. The permanent lower tier seats 25,500 and the modular upper tier seats 19,830. The stadium offers spectators a stunning view of the Arabian Gulf from their seats and will be located in a sports and recreation zone.

Well, its will have a flexible roof, not sure how it will operate though, but it will definitely be able to cover the entire stadium.
wow that stadium looks fantastic. I hope it gets build
I have a question, about the proposed Qatari stadiums in general.

I see most of them have plans to reduce capacity after the World Cup, but with such intricate looking designs, is there a danger that reducing the stadiums will ruin their look? Because these stadiums look fantastic, and it would be a shame to see them compromised.

Nice design. How does the more appropriate 25,500 render look since Al-Khor won't be needing a modular upper tier?

Not really, it would be built in a way that everything stays the same except that the modular tier would be removed.

When is gets reduced, how will that affect the air-conditioning? Will the air-conditioning still work after the world cup??

Yes, there is an air-conditioned stadium in Qatar and its only 16K and it works fine.
Excellent roof, one of the best tense-structure i´ve ever seen...!
OMG! This is completely awesome... the best lucky for the qatarians in 2022
Rectification

I stand corrected. Apparently, Al-Khor Stadium will now hit day light in its full pride. This is my Qatari soft spot from an aesthetical point of view.
This stadium is very nice, very upperclass ish. But I wonder if the roof will create a shadows on the pitch?

Yes, but the stadium does have a flexible roof, meaning it could be changed and perhaps even 100% closed roof. This also helps keep the heat out and the cool air in.
Beautiful! And right on the Persian Gulf too. Will make for good views outside the stadium as well...
I don't like the Stadiums interior. The interior looks all the same in these stadiums.
No, its a completely new stadium, the only stadiums that will be "renovated" are Rayyan, Gharafa and Khalifa. The rest however are all new, including Al-Khor.

The stadium in the picture however (current Alkhor FC Stadium) will not be torn down or anything, it will still serve Alkhor city.
