I've been in Alaska since January of 2012 studying at UAF, Fairbanks. And I hope to participate more in this forum. By the way I'm Armael...

First trip outside of Fairbanks.
Juneau for sure is one of the most beautiful places I've seen in my 22 years of existence. You have to experience for your self, it's all i can say. For now enjoy these beautiful images.

Juneau

Juneau is the capital of Alaska and one of the most beautiful places you can see.

Mendelhall Glacier, Eastside

Mendelhall Visitor Center

St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church

Black bear from Gold Creek Trail

Harlequin Duck diving in Mendenhall Glacier Lake.

A Red Robin

Dark-eyed Junco

American sandpiper

La historia del árbol que se mudo de casa. Hace tres anos se deslizo esta área y con las piedras callo este árbol de arriba. Y ahora está en el medio del camino Gold Creek trail./ The tale of a tree that moved down hill 3 years ago after a mud slide, now he resides in the middle of the Gold Creek Trail.

One day I will make a cruise trip to Skagway with my babe. It looks very inviting, clean and well mantained.

It is all of those things, kind of like a theme park. Although, make sure to get out of the town, there is a ton of nature to see and not really that much in the town other than a few historical (and very interesting) sites. It really is a great place for anyone interested in the history of the gold rush era in Alaska and the Yukon.

I was in Skagway about 2 years ago. The town was ok but hopping on the train and getting off to hike the Laughton glacier was the best. Anyone going to Skagway should do it!
