LOL city life in Alice Springs, Adelaide must be a massive metropolis then :nuts:Cul said:the aboriginals seem to have a problem with adjusting to the city life and locals are trying to work out solution.
post something meaningful for once tays! for fucks sak
I was born in Alice Springs, while I cant really remember the place. According to my mum those problems have been around for ever, its just intensified in the last few years.Alot of aborginals are coming in from the bush and staying because they can access to alcohol. Real shame. kids as young as 6 roaming streets drunk etc.
Now vigilante groups are patrolling streets ,they have had enough of damaged property bashings etc. what can be done?
police are laughed at and no gov wants to know about it.such a tradgedy for such an iconic township.
Nah, not if you can put your head in the sand and ignore it. It's not my problem unless it increases intrest rates.I am not trying to make assumptions on a subject I am no expert in, but as an American who is perhaps about to become an Australian-American in the future, I would like to say that the way some of you spoke of Aboriginal Australians in this thread would be considered shockingly racist over here. We have loads of our own problems, but I almost spit out my soda when I saw the phrase "The ones mostly blamed for this, is the half-cast aboriginals". The use of the word caste is in very poor taste in my opinion.
I'm aware of the statistics concerning poverty, violent crime, and alcoholism as it relates to Aboriginal Australians. But their problem is all of Australia's problem. When you see anti-social behaviour and crime running rampant, never forget that the cause, effect and solution is irrevocably related to all Australians, of all races.
