Yeah I was in the city and at uni. The atmosphere was pretty electric. I was walking through the park before the rain back to uni and lightning struck the Quay west apartments. Its very cold for storms - even before the storm there was a real chill in town.marty_k said:Can't say this new front looks particularly severe. Yet... Hehe
I was on level 10 in Z Block at QUT looking straight to the south where the storm was coming from. It was absolutely breathtaking. I didn't think it would hit the city since mostly storms move out to sea. I was about to jump on a ferry home when, whilst going down in an elevator believe it or not, I heard a big crack of thunder. At that point I thought, "Hmmm... I'm not going anywhere."
Absolute ripper of a storm.
Luckily I live on the east side and when I left home this morning I left my computer running. It was still all good and running when I got home! Also, I don't think we got any hail since my car is perfectly fine.
looks like it's breaking up.Malt said:In a couple of minutes that storm (medium rain aparantly) from our west will be corssing.
