Any interior renders and floor plans?
The fact that 850 square feet is the largest unit size available is ridiculous!
This design would probably look better in a taller building, but in a 33-storey one? Not so much.

Considering this was approved through a settlement between the City and the applicant (who applied before the OMB approved an abutting development in a radical decision) and both are generally located on a single loaded local street, I was hoping the design would be better and that more consideration would be given circulation. Instead, it's a crap design and everyone from this development and the neighbouring one will be routed through a single loaded street out to one of three intersections without a signal.
Can't say I'm a fan of this one. Clunky looking.
I like it. It's got a visual heft that a lot of the all-glass towers don't. If it were 50 to 100% taller it would help alleviate the clunkiness though.
That it's not glass is great, but not keen on the design.

considering the location it's already too tall
It's important for people in the field of planning to recognize how their city is changing. It's only too tall if people expect this area to remain the same height for the next 50 years. What's more likely is that 20 years from now, this will be one of the shorter buildings in the area. If people in planning can't see that, they're in the wrong field.
This building isn't so bad. At least there is an attempt at design. I like how that white strip winds it's way up the building but I wish there was no grey spandrel anywhere on this building. I'm sick of all the grey buildings in this city!

I wish developers used more red!!! Now that's a colour I can get into. (especially with black)

Change is a driving component of planning but increased height is not the only element of change or the only consideration for good planning.

Just my two cents.
I agree, but increased heights over time often gets over looked in their argument altogether. Theatre Park being the last such example. One would have to have your head buried in the sand not to realize how that neighbourhood was changing yet they argued it was far too tall for its location when proposed... and that was just a few years ago.
I rather like it.............a unique design for a condo tower.

You like it? I hate this ugly, grey box! I guess it's different strokes for different folks!

Anything with lots of gray spandrel, is on my hit list! I am so sick of gray spandrel! :eek:hno:
I think it's one of the most hideous, lazy designs currently being constructed! There is nothing at all to like about this building.
That concrete panel red, peach, and cream disaster across the street will be hard to beat on the hideous scale.
