Mövenpick has expanded its portfolio of hotels in Thailand to nine properties after signing an agreement to rebrand and manage the renowned Nai Lert Park Hotel in Bangkok. The hotel, located in an oasis of lush landscaped gardens on Wireless Road, will re-open under Mövenpick's management in early 2019 after a comprehensive refurbishment programme. Offering 294 guest rooms and a wide range of business and leisure facilities, it will be Mövenpick's third property in the Thai capital, joining Mövenpick Hotel Sukhumvit 15 Bangkok and Mövenpick Residences Ekkamai Bangkok. Close to major attractions, malls, embassies and corporate offices and within a 10-minute walk of Ploenchit BTS skytrain station and Phetchaburi MRT metro station, the property offers guests convenient access to the entire city.

"Opportunities to manage legendary hotels do not arise often, and we're delighted to bring Mövenpick's signature style to the Nai Lert Park Hotel, which has been a Bangkok landmark for more than three decades," said Andrew Langdon, Chief Development Officer for Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts. "We look forward to moving this captivating property into an exciting new era as we introduce a health-conscious generation of guests to "Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort Bangkok" and further provide world-class wellness facilities in association with the adjoining BDMS Wellness Clinic."

September 11, 2019

We are excited to announce the pre-eminent hotel and resort brand Aman has signed a long-term partnership with Nai Lert Group to manage a hotel and branded residences – this will be Aman’s first hotel and residences in Bangkok, and its second in Thailand after Amanpuri in Phuket.

Under the terms of the agreement, Aman and Nai Lert Group will develop a luxury hotel and residences project, with construction works scheduled to commence in the coming months. The project is expected to welcome its first hotel guests and residents in 2022.

Vladislav Doronin, Chairman and CEO of Aman commented “Thailand holds a special place in our hearts ever since the conception of Amanpuri, and our brand, in Phuket over 30 years ago.

Aman Nai Lert Bangkok will be situated in its namesake iconic central city parkland and will further cement our vision to bring the Aman ethos to global cities. Nestled in the century-old tropical gardens of Nai Lert Park, Aman Nai Lert Bangkok will offer a unique connection to the rich heritage and history of Bangkok enhanced by the gracious traditions of Thailand.”

Pursuing its long-lasting legacy in real estate and hospitality, Nai Lert Group is making its entry into the ultra-luxury segment with the upcoming mixed-use project, Aman Nai Lert Bangkok.

Aman replaces Movenpick? or in addition at Nai Lert Park?
is this the first Aman Resort in a high rise?
Aman Tokyo is in a highrise, but not sure about resort...
Aman NYC is also a highrise
just noticed it will be residences as well, so will have condo units for sale?

interesting..
Long term, as in 30 years? or 99 years?
30 years is max under Thai law (for a lease registered period*), but can be contractually renewed

*there are 50 years exceptions, but not applicable here
what will happen to BDMS Wellness? thought they were planning to build something before?
BDMS Wellness is not a part of this project. it's just right next to each other.
