AMARAVATI | New Capital of Andhra Pradesh| U/C

Amaravathi is the capital city of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The city is located on the southern banks of the Krishna River in Guntur district with in the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region. The city of Guntur and the metropolitan area of Vijayawada are the major ports of it. The base stone was set down on 22 October 2015 at Uddandarayunipalem area by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

The city has been built in the Guntur district on the banks of the Krishna River. It will be 12 kilometres (i.e., 7.5 mi) north-west of Vijayawada and 24 kilometres (i.e., 15 mi) north of Guntur. It is spread over 55000 acres

Construction will probably begin January 2018 for Administrative complex. Foster + Partners are almost finished designing the buildings.

Not bad..but looks way too rigid and sterile in terms of how its laid out similar to how failed planned cities were designed in the late 20th C
