another shophouses being demolished ...
this is from hk-place(fl3698) ...
located on causeway bay road ...
the high street of Tai Hang ...
i remember coming here a few years ago and took pictures of the building ...
i thought areas like Tai Hang would be better kept due to its location ...
i really wonder what kind of criterias are used to assess which buildings get preserved in hong kong ... its quite sad ...

Because there is no comprehensive conservation policy in Hong Kong,so we can only see more and more historical buildings disappearing...

this building looks good. it seems that the structure is still firm. unlike those old and deteriorate buildings in kowlood, eg. ssp.

there are but i think it has to be over 50 yrs old and examined into different grades?

There are, but I think the existing conservation policy is not strict enough preventing developers from demolishing valuable heritages.
