Weird, I was biking from Downtown LA at 8:30pm and never smelled anything, but I stepped out into the front porch right now and I can smell it.Oh.. I am seeing on fox11 news about some factory fire in Santa Monica.

Dust! I've driving to Vegas and Arizona stopped to refuel in the desert and don't recall a dust smell for the desert.
