Decided to set up a thread to contain my archirants.

Yays = buildings I'd like to see in Manchester
Nays = buildings I'd hate to see in Manchester

Your feedback and opinions welcome

Minus the roof, solid yay

A million times yay

(London)

A lot of these buildings are beautiful but I feel most are more architectually suited to their respective cities as they're more aligned to the arhcitectual heritage of said city, most would probably look a bit strange in Manchester. A modern take on the Victorian red brick style would look excellent in manc.

You're probably right, but this would look perfect in Manchester

You obviously have a thing for art deco towers and buildings with staggered tops.

I am a fan of these also. However I would prefer if they had some more modern elements.

Would you yay this for example?

^^

I'd say that's a mild yay. Would have to be located on a curve in the road though, so that the facade follows it
Great thread VDB, you beat me to it.

These receive a yay from me:

Some photos of the lower-rise sections, including the townhouses on Wansey Street which are really well done... If you have £1.5mil to spare...
