If South Korea follows what its northern brother did by immediately closed all its borders from incoming tourists, they wouldn't be the second Wuhan now... Kim of NK has some of the best spies, they knew things are going to be this bad so much earlier
South Korean cases started from aunty from Daegu who came back from Wuhan for many days after outbreak and did not response any, finally become super spreader in South Korea from about some to a thousand cases in few weeks! The most interest after that source said South Korean gov give them a free for a treatment for easier stop the outbreak throughout nation!!! In other countries got some payments (in Thailand, Malaysia cost you about 300-600USD).

Prince's dagger returned to Indonesia after 45 years lost in Dutch archive
source : Read more

Forty-five years after the Netherlands promised its return, a gold-inlaid dagger surrendered by a “rebel prince” after his failed 1830 uprising against Dutch rule in Indonesia has been handed back to Jakarta.

The kris, a dagger with a waved blade, was among a number of Prince Diponegoro’s belongings that the Netherlands’ vowed in 1975 to return, only for the cultural treasure to go missing.

The Dutch culture minister, Ingrid van Engelshoven, handed over the blade to the Indonesian embassy in The Hague this week after a two-year search by the Museum of Ethnology in Leiden of its collection.

Fery Iswandy, a cultural attache at the Indonesian embassy, said in a statement: “The kris is very important for Indonesia. Diponegoro is our national hero. This attribute of the prince expressed his status.”

Diponegoro is celebrated in Indonesia for a five-year struggle against Dutch rule, known as the Java war. It ended on 28 March 1830 with Diponegoro’s reported surrender of his dagger at the feet of Hendrik Merkus de Kock, the lieutenant governor general of the Dutch East Indies.

Diponegoro, a prince on the island of Java, which is now part of Indonesia, was exiled to Celebes, an island east of Borneo, and then to Makassar, the capital of the Indonesian province of South Sulawesi, where he died aged 69.

TIME dotcom net profit rises to RM314.04 mil in FY19
Bernama February 29, 2020 01:01 am +08
KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 28): TIME dotCom Bhd posted a higher net profit of RM314.04 million for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2019 (FY19) from RM288.67 million previously.

In an exchange filing today, it said revenue increased to RM1.11 billion from RM983.43 million earlier, mainly due to higher sales recorded from voice, data and data centre businesses, which grew RM3.5 million, RM128 million and RM3 million year-on-year, respectively.

The telecommunications provider said the improved earnings were attributable to higher overall revenues, higher share of profit from investment in associates of RM14.7 million from RM11.8 million in FY18, net recovery of construction deposit of RM700,000 compared to net impairment of RM1.8 million in FY18, as well as higher interest income by RM700,000 in FY19.

Moving forward, TIME said the group would remain steadfast in its strategy to face the rapidly evolving telecommunications environment, and would continue to strengthen and improve its existing domestic fibre network infrastructure while intensifying efforts to expand its coverage footprint throughout the country.

"On the regional front, the group will continue working with its partners in Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia to tap into the increasing demand for cross-border connectivity across the ASEAN region.

"The group will also assess opportunities to further establish itself as a key regional data centre player and operator with the intention to unlock the long-term potential of its data centre business," it said.

Interest schemes: Investing in the country’s largest launderette operator
Kuek Ser Kwang Zhe February 18, 2020 14:00 pm +08

Ang and his wife, City Coin Laundry executive director Sandra Chua
City Coin Laundry Sdn Bhd, the largest launderette operator in Malaysia, has been in expansion mode since last year. It has a market share of 25%, but that is not good enough for founder and CEO Paul Ang. To achieve its objectives, the company launched the LaundryBar Investment Scheme in November to raise funds from the general public.

“We want to dominate the local market just as MR. DIY dominates the household electrical and hardware retail market. The business we are operating is a profitable one and there is a lot of room for improvement,” says Ang.

City Coin Laundry is the operator of the LaundryBar brand. Its expansion plans stem from Ang’s confidence that there are a lot of opportunities for growth in the industry.

Ang has also expanded overseas and the LaundryBar brand can be found in Brunei, Thailand and Turkey. “Today, we have more than 20 outlets in Thailand, six in Brunei and one in Turkey. And we are still growing,” he says.

New Malaysian Federal Cabinet has been announced just now. I will summarise the main points from the announcement just now.

https://www.pmo.gov.my/2020/03/pengumuman-pembentukan-kabinet-baharu-kerajaan/

It represents entirely new cabinet structure, unlike any cabinet since the independence.

Basically, there will not be deputy prime minister post in this cabinet.

Instead, there will be four senior ministers for 4 main themes : Economy, Security, Infrastructure development and social/education.

Under these four themes, then there will be the usual individual ministries.

For the first time, there will be special fortpolio relating to Sabah and Sarawak affairs, to be headed by Minister of Prime Minister Department. This is important in fulfilling Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63)

Finance minister will be a technocrat instead of politician. The finance minister is the current CEO of one of the main commercial banks in Malaysia, hence to take up that cabinet post as he is not a Member of Parliament, he will be appointed as senator.

There will also be a new ministry on national unity.

Overall, the new cabinet structure is very promising.

KUALA LUMPUR: Tesco, Britain's biggest retailer, is selling its businesses in Thailand and Malaysia to Thailand's CP Group entities for an enterprise value of US$10.6bil.

The disposal involved Tesco’s entire shareholding in Tesco Stores (Thailand) Ltd, Tesco Stores (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, it said in a statement on Monday.

The companies under the CP Group are C.P. Retail Development Company Ltd, Charoen Pokphand Holding Co., Ltd, CP All PLC and C.P. Merchandising Co., Ltd.

“The disposal will simplify the Tesco Group, enabling a stronger focus on its retail businesses in the UK and Ireland and in Central Europe.

“The disposal also realises material value for Tesco’s shareholders and allows the Tesco Group to further de-risk the business by reducing indebtedness through a significant pension contribution of £2.5bil, ” it said.

Paramount maintains RM1b sales target this year
Justin Lim March 04, 2020 10:24 am +08

KUALA LUMPUR: Paramount Corp Bhd has maintained its property sales target at RM1 billion for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2020 (FY20), which it says will be driven by some RM1.2 billion worth of launches planned for the year.

Group eyeing 10% overseas revenue in five years

In view of the persistently challenging property market, Chew said the group is looking at areas to spur growth.

These include venturing into property management services and diversifying its portfolio overseas. It is currently looking at Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines for its overseas venture. It is targeting a 10% revenue contribution from overseas projects in the next five years.

For FY19, Paramount achieved a net profit of RM104.05 million, up 13.33% from the RM91.81 million it achieved a year earlier, as revenue grew 11.62% to RM705.97 million from RM632.49 million. It proposed a final dividend of 4.5 sen per share for FY19.
