AMLI Planning Buckhead Midrise

AMLI Residential presented plans this month for development of two parcels of the 16-acre tract at the corner of Roxboro and East Paces Ferry roads that would include a total of 640 residential rental units on two sides of a new 2-acre park that will be developed along with the first of the apartment developments.

The two AMLI development parcels are part of the former $2 billion, 3,800-unit residential community named City Place that the Related Group out of Miami proposed to develop on the 16 acres that stretches north and west from the corner of Roxboro and E. Paces Ferry roads.

Related's One CityPlace died a death in 2008 but the sign still stands!

But Related Group lost the property back to Wachovia Bank, which now is Wells Fargo, and Wells Fargo sold two of the four parcels to AMLI for the two residential development that were reviewed this month by the Development Review Committee of Buckhead’s Special Public Interest District 12 (SPI-12).

The AMLI portion of the 16 acres that flow northwest from the intersection of East Paces Ferry (bottom) and Roxboro (top right) roads
includes the residential tower (pink) and apartments (orange) that wrap the parking desk and amenity area, and the 400 apartments in
several buildings (yellow) that wrap around the parking desk (grey). The 2-acre park named for Marie Sims in in the center of graphic.
