Does anyone have footage of the Omni's implosion that can be shared here?

I do. I worked on the project. That was a tough on. It physically touched the CNN tower on on side and was tight up against the MARTA and the railroad tracks on the other two sides. It was a one of a kind building. Nobody had ever imploded a building with a space frame before. I will post the video after get home tonight.

Was this the volleyball venue back in '96? The Dutch men won the gold medal. Was chosen as sportmoment of the century in the Netherlands

Yes. The Georgia Dome held the basketball in one half and gymnastics in the other, leaving the Omni for volleyball.

Were you able to attend? As a local I had tickets to swimming and soccer, myself.

No, I was too young to go to Atlanta. But watched a lot on tv.
