I've heard this is quite a nice city, and for Texas, very liberal!

Keep Austin Weird. ;)
Very true! It's due in part to the University of Texas being in town which is very influential on the city.

Yes keep Austin weird! I saw tons of weird people around the other day.

Austin definitely is a great city. I wish I'd made it over there more than just two times while living in Houston. The areas in & around downtown and the University of Texas are fantastic! Town Lake, Lake Austin, Lake Travis, and the overall hill country on the west side of Austin are all sweet as well! :)
