Projects U/C

Transformation of the N49 expressway Antwerp-Northsea to a normal motorway, the A11/E34, is slowly making progress. Between Antwerp and Zelzate, there is only one same-level crossing left, near Kruisstraat.

Another big project is the prestigious Oosterweelbridge which, when completed, should close the inner ring road of Antwerp.

true, but he stitched it together from little printscreens. quite a bit of work
A605

A new stretch of motorway east of Liege should enable trough-traffic to travel southwards alot faster
The future A605 connects the E40 with the E25

A one-way street with five lanes, the Rue Belliard. This photo could just as easy been taken in NYC and makes me think of Amsterdam as a village.

The E40 towards Leuven

While driving back home I stumbled upon a true 1x3 road with suicide lane, the N2 between Leuven and Diest. Driving it was a new experience for me:

^^Suicide lane is logically not the official name, I know that. It's just a commonly used name for such lanes. There aren't many left of them though because of safety problems. (Hence that unflattering name;)) Most of them are converted into 2+1 roads.
