Bahrain Financial Harbour Videos (Amazing Stuff)
Hi, well I thought that these deserve their own thread cause they're great and probably not many will see them in the BFH thread (already posted it there) so I created this one.
Hehe Skyline-BRN, I probably kept you waiting hehe. This is what I promised.
Ok here's the moment of truth, the files are a few megabytes, some are around 10 Mg, so if you have a slow connection, please be patient. Trust me though, this is worth it. Forget all the renders and drawings, this is the ultimate stuff, you'll see the project like you'll never see it in pics.
How I found those, I visited the Janahi architects website a while ago and today out of curiosity I wanted to visit it again and they changed a few things and voila, this (check out the Overall Development video last, it's the best):

I hope so especially the connection from the Bab Al Bahrain to the BFH, although I think that's the last phase in the whole development if they'll ever do it. If so, it'll cause major traffic problems I can imagine and the cars needs to be routed through the BFH development in that case. Oh well, it's a few years down the line hehe.
B.spirit I thought you were just gonna show us some new renderings, but this was definetly worth the wait! and what a surprise indeed! You notice in the video how there is a particular emphasis on the BFH that shadows and minimizes and the rest of Manama and its buildings?...Well all I can say is that the BFH alone is enough to set the stage for a world-class skyline...but can u imagine it as an addition to the existing skyline and the upcoming high rises in other projects?!!! Manama is definetly on its way to claiming the best skyline in the mid-east and possibly the world, its now just a matter of getting there inshAllah.
Btw a particularly intesrestng part of the videos show the pathway from Bab Al Bahrain to the BFH main entrance. This is really weird as the site for that pathway currently occupies a huge car park (used mainly by souq shoppers) and various other buildings including the manama post office. I dont understand how they are planning to sacrifice this essential central manama parking utility for an aesthetic landmark. I personally thought they were gonna build the pathway over the parking space so that it would turn into a shaded parking lot, which could be very usefull for summer weather. Anyways only time will tell what will happen.

Your comments about the skyline are very ambitious, I wouldn't say it'll be impossible, but it's far out of reach to be the best in the world hehe. In terms of quality and not quantity, sure why not, with all those developments and good designs rising and an end to the days of crappy buildings rising, it could have one of the best skylines in the mideast and the world. Let's not forget Dubai and Qatar, they're doin a superb job.
About that walkway from Bab Al Bahrain to the BFH, it'll be amazing, am sure they thought of all those problems that could arise, but I have no idea how they'll tackle them. I would love to see this part get the go ahead, but I think it'll be the last phase.
