Another output from Bataan's heavy industrial infrastructure.

The christening of M/V John B. Lacson (owned by John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University from Iloilo) in Port of Orion. She's a training ship retrofitted and modified by Seafront Shipyard (in Lucanin, Mariveles) from an old German container ship.

but still nice to see that Bataan has 4th highest gdp per capital among all provinces of central and northern luzon :eek:kay:

it'll be in Lamao, Limay one more time...

Another Spike-ER missile test slated Nov. 21

MANILA -- The Philippine Navy (PN) will conduct another test-fire activity for its newly-installed Rafael Advanced Defense Ltd. Spike-ER (extended range) surface-to-surface missile off Lamao Point, Limay, Bataan on Wednesday.

This was confirmed by Navy spokesperson Commander Jonathan Zata in a message to the Philippine News Agency Monday.

"The PN will be conducting a scenario-based capability demonstration and live-firing of the newly-installed Spike-Extended Range (ER) missile system and mini-Typhoon machinegun system on board a Multi-Purpose Attack Craft (MPAC) Mark III on November 21, 2018 off the waters of Lamao Point, Bataan," Zata added.

He also disclosed that three MPACs, all fitted with the Spike-ER missile system, and an AgustaWestland AW-109 attack helicopter will be participating in the exercise.

Zata said that two missiles, coming from two different MPACs, will be fired at two targets while the AW-109 attack helicopter will be firing its rockets.

Malaki ang potential for further industrialization sa Bataan. Very strategic location para sa mga factories. Ang kulang lang ay population, which will come as more factory jobs open.

Thanks Sir...this list is quite handy...now we have a better picture on each province's economic performance :eek:kay:

Sa Bataan naman actually I'm comfortable with the current trend that we're having right now. It maybe not as spectacular as with other few provinces, but it is just right taken the population size of the province. Traditionally, investments are dominated by industries, but right now we're starting to see the commercial and tourism sectors being proped-up a bit, new things are coming. Overall, it's a nice growth although the provincial leadership should be cautious with the population growth coming with it which is inevitable. Baka tumaas nga ang GDP na-overwhelm naman ang local resources and infras...there should be a balance. They must have a good foresight and must not lost its sight of the real goal which is to reduce poverty and uplift the quality life of the local populace.

Only a handful are above or at least close with the national GDP per capita, more so the gap is wide, which is not a good sign. More work should be done to spread the progress.
