Given the types of buildings being constructed, I hope no-one torches or mistakenly ignites the place(s) like we've seen on a number of occasions.

Nice to see this area taking shape though; this should encourage other developers to tackle other areas of the city in time for Amazon's Port Covington Headquarters :D;).

Grabbed these from the main article, I'll be back in the states in January for 2 weeks for the first time in well over a year, so I plan on touring Baltimore to see all this new development that has gone up over the last year and half, expect lots of pics

I saw that the first two apartment buildings in Center West now have names - Avra and Cirro.

When I commute west in the morning, I can see the top floor of one of the buildings peeking out over the roofs of the neighboring houses. It looks like the façade is partially up. Maybe that has been the case for a while, but I hadn't noticed it before.

Also, I'm going to edit the title of this thread to reflect the format of the other threads - just FYI.

great news for the west side!

it will go a long way to stabilizing Poppleton; linking it to downtown and will eventually help transitional neighborhoods such as Pigtown, Union Square and maybe even Franklin Square some day.

In planning for over a decade, then lighting fast progress when it actually starts. I hope this leases up quickly so they keep moving along.

I biked past this location last week, next time I'll take some pics - was surprised how nice/modern the development style looks.

They're very market rate apartments. In fact, if you visit centerwestbaltimore.com, you can see the asking price for the floorplans in both buildings that are about to open.
