Therefore, talks will be held with the Chief Ministers of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Delhi that patients can be brought to Bareilly by air lift from Badrinath and Kedarnath. The Airport Authority told the Union Minister that the terminal is fully ready. Now the schedule for the flight is awaited from the Ministry of Aviation.
The aviation ministry had claimed that the first flight from Bareilly terminal would be started in December. Earlier, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had also tweeted and asked to start flying from 25 domestic airports including Bareilly, Kanpur, Hindon, Agra. The 78 new routes issued by the central government have included the Bareilly-Delhi flight. Two months ago officials from Alliance Air, a subsidiary of Air India, visited the air terminal at Bareilly. The Union Ministry of Civil Aviation has decided to start inter-state airlines in different states to connect the northeastern states with the air network. Uttar Pradesh includes Kanpur, Chitrakoot, Shravasti, Moradabad, Aligarh including Bareilly.
