IMO, all those glassy proposals are not realistic. Iraq cant build such buildings now due to security reasons.
Imagine from one explosion what will happen to the building lol

I guess it is worthy :) Such buildings dive a good feeling of the new life to people who live there.

It's not just that, think what it would be like during the summer. They would need to have blinds for most of the windows, or suffer large electricity costs for air con.

EDIT: Sheytan, is the above type of structure practically feasible?

Guys theres all sorts of new technology to tackle that, look at uae. And yusif, when was the last time an explosion happened in basra, yet alone to a cultural place.

Its buildable I guess. will cost an arm and a leg though! not even mentioning the cost of keeping that place cool!
