Great news, a corner stone has been laid in Basrah for ex political prisoners.

It wil take two years to build, half paid by the prisoners themselves over a period of a few years and the other half paid by the political prisoner association.

^^ they were political prisoners under Saddam's regime, they are not criminals, they didn't commit any crimes, they simply were imprisoned because they didn't agree with Saddam's ideas

I would like to think the sports city will be more than enough to attract tourism in Basra, having said that hotels, malls and such should be within walking distance, no? so tourists is one thing they will not lack.

Onto this matter, projects that serve justice are the most worthy. Fantastic news. :)
