sayang mga quay cranes, under utilized, dapat talaga i phase out na lang container operations sa manila ports..
dapat talaga ilipat sa batangas port
"sayang mga quay cranes, under utilized, dapat talaga i phase out na lang container operations sa manila ports"

Recent report by the Japanese ambassador says Batangas and Subic ports are underutilized and ships still continue to pour in congested Manila port. This misallocation of resources is hindering Japanese overseas development assistance and they wanted the situation to be corrected asap.

EDC backs decongestion of Manila ports

by Bernie Magkilat
March 3, 2014

Philippine Exporters Confederation Inc. (Philexport) President and EDC Vice-Chairperson Sergio R. Ortiz-Luis, Jr. said they have recommended the issuance of a policy or an Executive Order that would shift foreign cargoes from the Port of Manila to the Port of Batangas and other newly developed international ports.

“We are promoting the use of ports outside Metro Manila, particularly the International Port of Batangas for goods moving in and out of South Luzon. The Port of Manila is operating beyond its capacity. Hence, cargo trucks continue to congest not just the port but also the major thoroughfares of Metro Manila,” Ortiz-Luis said.

^^ sana nga magtuloy tuloy na ang paglipat nila
So I think it's time for those trucking companies to move to Batangas and Subic.
3 suggestions to help promote the use of batangas and subic ports:

1. isailalim ang manila north and south harbors sa isang customs district.
2. ipagbawal ang pag lipat ng mga barko from south to north or north to south harbor sa manila.
3. itulad ang mga port charges ng batangas and subic sa manila na mas mababa.

:)
