After the police parade, Mikheil Saakashvili viewed ongoing process of constructions in Georgia`s Black Sea town of Batumi on Friday. The president, along with Moscow-based Georgian singer Diana Labadze, laid the first capsule into the foundation of the Black Sea Business Center in Batumi Park.
The business center is intended to serve the whole region. Georgia`s government expects that after opening teh business center hundreds of jobs will be created in the country.
"Batumi is a significant tourist center, although except this, it should be Georgia`s most significant financial center, because a lot of things from here are linked to Poti Port, Batumi Port, the port infrastructure in general, investments from all neighboring countries and evidently, constructing such a big building would assist creating tens of thousands of additional jobs as economic activities are going to be developed", Saakashvili said.
The business center is expected to be put into operation from 2013
