I'd say we're somewhat off seeing the warehouse completed. Work has only really started on that. They'll likely need to support the warehouse before the excavation and piling works begin on the taller element.

As I predicted..... #nostradamus

Good to hear though, that means their current office on Bedford Street could be knocked and replaced with something better. Great boost for this project as well as the city centre given the jobs expansion that Deloitte plans.

Great for potential job creation and great piece of density for the city centre.

edit - was up the top of Grand Central just after xmas and made a point to check out the site. Didn't look like there was much of anything done other than the scaffolding already up around Ewarts, but hopefully site will break ground at full speed now.

Peeked out one of the windows @ the Perch this evening and a large trench has been dug around about 2/3 of the site perimeter. Possibly for piling? Big changes on site from last month already.

Such a disappointing project. Real chance to build something tall and imposing, with the Grand Central beside it. Bedford Street could be have been the 'high rise street' in the city. Instead we have a forgettable glass box. You could forgive the average design slightly if it it was tall, but it is neither. The sooner McAleer and Guff leave Belfast and go back to building their cheap hotels in Wembley and Stansted, the better.
