Looks great. Though with all due respect to the very talented people involved, I don't get the appeal of film production in NI unless there are some incentives being offered? Why choose Belfast over say Pinewood or Elstree in London? Are we undercutting the production facilities in England?A proposed film studios complex comprising four buildings; (1) Production (37,450 ft2); (2) Stage 01 & Stage 02 (66,000 ft2); (3) Stage 03 (45,000 ft2); Workshop 01, 02 & 03 (46,170 ft2).
All film locations offer incentives, HM Treasury offers tax breaks to all filming in the UK.Looks great. Do you think this will impact the studio expansion planned for TQ?
I hope not. But I suspect that this is partly being driven with anticipated reduction in corporation tax.Do you think this will impact the studio expansion planned for TQ?
I know they seem to be struggling to raise the $$$ to progress on it (either that or they are just extremely slow at building anything), but do you think this will make things more difficult due to the increased competition by two sets of studios?
Make that three. Shackleton military base in Ballykelly has been converted into a production studio.increased competition by two sets of studios?
Uninspiring maybe... I wouldn't say hideous. On another note, after being down in the area last week, the new studios are absolutely hideous. Good thing they are well out of the way.
