The rounded side is gone but the building looks good, I like it.

Interestingly this is only called phase 1 so more developments in this project to come

In the application, the tallest element and the middle element are listed as Phase 1. The smaller element closest to the city centre is Phase 2, and is shown as being a temporary park initially.

The phasing may be related to issues regarding the PSNI station. From memory there were some concerns raised by the previous application in regard to windows overlooking the station.

To me, this doesn't look dissimilar to what was originally proposed for Bankmore Square and I really liked that too (hopefully what ends up there will look just as good)

I don't see any new developments getting finance from banks until they we see how office demand is looking post Covid, the developer is going through the motions but it will be a brave bank to fund this development with office occupancy at an all time low and not expected to recover to pre covid levels with most industry admitting staff will likely work from home 2 to 3 days a week going forward.

Investment is a long-term game. Offices aren’t going to disappear. COVID and social distancing isn’t going to last forever and working from home isn’t ideal for most people either.

Consultation deadline was today, may see an update soon.

On agenda for next weeks planning meeting, no link so can’t see if recommended for approval or not, but I see Translink/weavers cross heavily supporting it.
It said planning report to follow I’ll wait for an update.
