Beograd is situated in South-Eastern Europe, on the Balkan Peninsula. It lies at the point where the river Sava merges into the Danube, on the slope between two alluvial planes.
According to 2002 census, there were 1.273.651 citizens in the Beograd area.

Grander and prettier than I expected. I am used to seeing buildings like that Byzantine style domed cathedral with minnarets around them. Its easy to forget they were only added to Istanbul's Aya Sofia a thousand years (or something) after it was built.

Well it still has some way to go until it gets a very nice skyline like perhaps Warsaw. With a few scraper/high-rise projects coming up it will look very nice.
Offcourse since I live here it would be a shame not to give it a good rating. So guess what I’m giving it a… 10 :D
