Nice. The project is actually called "Avalon Towers", there is already a building called Avalon Bellevue near the library. Yes I'm picky, I know.
^
Thanks. Fixed it.
So they're going to finally build something in that corner of downtown? Good, though they seem a little short.
Wow :cheers1: I love it. I love how there is that little stretch of suburban strip mall between it and Bellsquare.
I actually think that's just about the right height for that area. Some mid-rise buildings would make a great foreground to the taller ones in back.
I love this one! It looks like a very classy European Skyscraper.

Agreed.
Wow!! Very sleek. I like this project more than their Safeway one.

Does this have a "start date" or estimated completion time?

Yeah, it's a shame they built a lowrise for that Safeway project, that site is zoned for 200 feet I believe.

As far as a start date for this one, no idea but I wouldn't be surprised to see it start this summer.
Although I like the height that it will add in the area, I think that this building has a very "meh" quality to it.
ditto to above comment....
Their website says it'll have 398 units!

You said it... Its great looking!
Classy "European" did not come to mind when looking at this... look at all of the renders... I like the taller tower more than the smaller, but personally wish they had some better features.....
I'm more concerned about the base...so boring.
I Agree about the drab pedestal They need to liven it up a bit. It does not interact with the street scape at all.
I was at Blockbuster today and was told that they were closing at the end of July to make way for the project. They also told me they had originally planned to extend their lease through August but the landlord changed their mind and wants them out earlier. Not sure how significant that is but its a good sign that we may see this project start sometime during 3rd/4th quarter of this year.

Like I said earlier, I agree. Now if the height restrictions in Bellevue were raised it might be a different story.
