The Bengaluru International Airport at Devanahalli was inaugurated on 23 May 2008. It is currently being expanded to increase its capacity from 10 million passengers/annum to 17 million passengers/annum.

Construction work by L&T officially began in June 2011 and is supposed to be finished in early 2013.

HOK Architects are the architects of this expanded terminal.

Intense discussions are going on in the other thread and replies are coming so fast that pictures are either not getting posted or getting buried deep inside.

Nice pics there Sun, they should have used the extra 2 months before launch for growing some grass around....looks barren.
I think things are stabilizing at the Airport and let us hope to see some extension work soon.
Good going Bangalore!

Thanx Sun for opening this thread.

The official BIAL thread has too much of unnecessary text & less images.

Excellent pics, Suncity!!! Pls tell Vishal to post some photos here as well......(I can see it is crowded)
You can ask me directly  - Here you go mate.
You can either go to the album directly (by clicking on the first thumbnail) to view selective shots in a larger size or view the slideshow (reccomended - second thumbnail) move the cursor below the photo during slideshow mode to see the toolbar & customise it the way u want.

The only reason i never post larger images here is because the page would get just ridiculously long & saturate a lot of bandwith.
You can view the images of your choice by clicking on the thumbnails rather & it dosent eat-up too much space either ;)

Cheers - Vishal :eek:kay:
