Tourism minister unveils IU Hotel

Benguela - The Angolan minister of Hotels and Tourism, Angela Bragança, inaugurated on Thursday a three-star unit, belonging to the AAA group, with 120 bed-rooms.

The IU Hotel, the 8th hotel unit opened in the country of the group, has six floors, two meeting rooms, a restaurant-bar and a car park, and generated job for 14 young people.

On the occasion, the minister said that the inauguration of the AAA project is a manifestation of global responsibility in which the traditional authorities should mobilize the youth to the future challenges.

The minister, who praised the jobs that the project generated, said that each young person should review and value employment, as they guarantee the social well-being of families.

Ângela Bragança recognized the potential of the AAA group that is committed to tourism, and assured that the government will continue to support, because she believes in the country that is focused on the development and diversification of the economy, tourism being a great boost.

The provincial governor of Benguela, Rui Falcão, was pleased to see the young people gained jobs with the inauguration of the project and promised to continue stimulating the entrepreneurs of the private sector to create spaces for generating more jobs.

The governor said that with the emergence of this hotel, competition will increase, and it will be necessary to improve service so that Benguela can attract more and more people and make tourism more inclusive where everyone participates.
