Just saw this interesting article on BBC News and thought it might be worth a thread in GUD since it's an idea I had never seen before.

Berlin House of One: The first church-mosque-synagogue?

Berlin thinks it is making religious history as Muslims, Jews and Christians join hands to build a place where they can all worship. The House of One, as it is being called, will be a synagogue, a church and a mosque under one roof.

It are three variants of the same religion, there shouldn't be a problem.

The old Petri-Church was standing there before...

After war the GDR teared down nearly all old buildings...

And there on the rightside they want to build this new "house".

More about this area in the german SSC-thread too.

Wait is that ugly box shit the actual design of the building?
Wait is that ugly box shit the actual design of the building?

I think it looks good
Has sort of a North African feel to it, like something you'd find in Morocco or Algeria.
I think it's pretty pretty too...
Love the design, has a Moroccan style that I love
I like the floor plan. Its great for shootings from the mosque to the synagogue. And its funny that the Church is some sort of a seperated shed to the side. Tells a lot about the regard for the christian belive of the architect*.... ;D

About the design, i dont see to much marrocan in it. Its more like an ancient mesopotamic temple, which somehow makes sence as all three religions are originated in the middle east.

*Okay, it might also be a symbol for the "Birthouse" of our son of god :D
Like more the "Temple of all religions" in Rusia:
