Not everyone would agree with that. Everybody got their own favorite place or destination. It varies from person to person.

My top 10 would be:

1. Prague, Czech Rep.
2. Jerusalem, Israel/Palestine.
3. London, UK.
4. Paris, France.
5. Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
6. Rome, Italy.
7. Budapest, Hungary.
8. Cairo, Egypt.
9. Rio, Brazil.
10. Warsaw, Poland.

Otherwise, is the list quite reliable, although I would say Prague would take Berlin or Barcelonas place.

i find Orionol list better because cities like Cairo and Rio are way more interesting than Berlin or Barcelona. My opinion

Yawn...who honestly cares about these rankings and surveys on 'best places to visit'. A large number of them are very biased towards particular cities or countries anyway.

These type of rankings are not absolute but circunstancial...
the rankings change every year obviously because the people is changing constantly and more important, the cities change every time...

so this year some cities are the best to visit or to live but last year was different and next year will be different...

so don't panic or yell if any city is not in the list...the ranks are not permanent and moreover, they are subjective.

one more thing, it always depends on the segment of population...

teenagers will have their preferences, in opposite to mature people and even more opposite to seniors...

other category is the income level...

so in most of the cases the rankings ara the average all of these variables....BUT in this forum most of the people is teenager or students, so it makes sense they won't agree with the rankings.

It seems that you guys always feel the urge to rank pretty much anything.

I've got many favourite places and cities, however, they are just too different to rank them appropriately.
Most favourite cities among those I've visited so far ( no specific order) :

London,
Sevilla,
Amsterdam,
Rome,
Berlin,
Granada
Nice,
Copenhagen,
Hamburg,
....

Paris, New York and Vienna will be the next stops.

SSC users have this strange fascination for nonsense rankings. They simply love to see an order where there is none.
