so which city has the best view from the plane when landing in the airport?
Boston is pretty cool depending upon the approach. You've got downtown right there and the Boston Harbor islands scattered all around. San Diego is great too, you fly over the hills and then almost thru downtown. The Pacific and all the beaches are very visible as well, because the airport is on the harbor and only a mile or so from the ocean.

NYC is hard to beat, particularly when you fly to Laguardia Airport.
i agree but if u fly over jfk is pretty ugly theres nothing much

btw here are my opinions: no particular order

new york (la guardia)
miami (miami intl')
LA (LAX)
Houston (hobby airport)
dallas (DFW)
Chicago (midway)
minneapolis (minneapolis-st.paul intl')

Flying into LGA is a great when you make the approach along the easter edge of Manhattan.

My favorite US approach, however, is the nighttime approach into ORD over the city. The pic above indicates the awesomeness of this.

Atlanta flying into Hartsfield. You go close to Downtown Atlanta. Flying into Los Angeles at night (the seas of lights is amazing!).
