On 31 December 2017 Ampang Park Shopping Centre which was opened for business on 16 March 1973 closed its door for good. The first shopping mall of Kuala Lumpur will be demolished later to make way for the MRT Station.

I paid this mall a visit several days before it was permanently closed and took some photos to immortalise Ampang Park as one of the earliest malls of KL that had to be sacrificed for the sake of development.

Business as usual for some shop owners despite imminent closure.
