its been designed to keep the most sound in possible, but because of that its really hard to expand it now
This is what kills me about this stadium, and why it appears Indiana* may get this right. Sadly, it appears both Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech played it too cheaply in expanding their stadiums that they've left voids of empty space within the general area of what should be prime seating. Now any future expansions will be all the more awkward and costly. What's more, it appears Lane not only suffers this issue on the one end but also with the side with the skyboxes and media center, as that looks tough to build onto. Expansion won't be impossible, but costly and all the more difficult to make appear graceful. Sadly.
But other than that a great venue!

*= Indiana has a near replica stadium with regards to side stands, but their proposed closing of one end zone will compliment that existing form and connect with both stands.
