For DOTA 2 players and fans

The Philippines will be hosting 2018’s first Dota 2 Major!
16 teams, 8 direct invites, 1M. Dollars - Enter the new Galaxy Battles Major
The second season of Galaxy Battles is grander in scale and prestige, and promises not just exciting Dota 2, but plenty of other entertainment activities.

The first season of Galaxy Battles took place in Shenzhen, China earlier this year, with eventual The International 2017 Runner-up Newbee taking home the championship – for its second iteration, Galaxy Battles has decided to host their tournament here in the Philippines, with things in a much grander scale.

Fallout Gaming (FG) and Purpose Win (PWEL) will once again be organizing the tournament, to be held on January 19-21, 2018. They have given it the tagline “Emerging Worlds” – fit for its ambitions. You see, next year’s Galaxy Battles will feature a 1,000,000 USD prize pool, and is recognized as a Valve Major, meaning it will be awarding International 2018 Qualifying Points...

The tournament itself will be held in the Philippine Arena, located in Bulacan, which boasts a seating capacity of 60,000. The venue will not only host next year’s first Major – it will also feature the “Galaxy Battles Dota 2 World” which is a Dota 2-themed activities ground, said to contain theme park-like activities, food and beverage zones, resting areas, sponsor’s booths and the like. And it doesn’t stop there. There will also be a music festival that will feature both local, regional and international artists, who will be performing at the open-air stadium parallel to the Philippine Arena itself.

The main event will be hosted at the 60,000 seating capacity Philippines Arena from Bulacan, Philippines January 19-21. The venue and its surrounding area will be separated into three main sections:

The Galaxy Battles Esports Arena - a 60,000 capacity esports battleground where the top 16 teams of the world will battle for the USD 1,000,000.00 total prize pool.

The Galaxy Battles Dota 2 World - a Dota 2 themed park with resting pods and rest areas where the visitors can test Dota 2 inspired beverages. The area will also include event sponsorship partners stands.

The Galaxy Entertainment Arena – located in an open-air stadium parallel to the Philippines Arena will host the Galaxy Battles music festival that will feature International and local artists and bands throughout the duration of the event.

“Introducing new experiential event components to esports events brings a new dynamic to the overall consumer experience. What we hope to achieve with the fusion of entertainment and esports is a more holistic approach to creating an exciting and fresh way to experience gaming” - said Mister Adrian Gaffor, Managing Director of Fallout Gaming at the Galaxy Battles - Emerging Worlds press conference.

On October 22, 2017, all roads will lead to the Philippine Arena in Bulacan for the 2017 Mitsufest Philippines, an enormous gathering of different car clubs and enthusiasts united by a single passion; to celebrate the history and the success of the Tokyo-based 3-diamond carmaker.

In retrospect, the Mitsufest Philippines is a relatively new event in the local car club scene, being launched for the first time just last year at the Blue Bay in Macapagal, Pasay. At the time, the event attracted over 30 car clubs and many car enthusiasts who had the most exhilarating weekend full of anything and everything exciting about Mitsubishi for the whole family.

This time around, the 2nd staging of the Mitsufest Philippines will occupy the Philippine Arena, a 99,200 sqm events area located right in the heart of the Bulacan province. Bigger and better, its organizer, It’s Happening Events, pegs it to pull in an attendance that’s estimated to breach more than 500 cars from various Mitsubishi car clubs. These car clubs include those that hoist the flags of such Mitsubishi models as the Mirage, Lancer, Galant, Adventure, Montero Sport, Pajero, and L300, among others.

The 2017 Mitsufest is also co-presented by Petron. With that being said, the fuel giant will be holding a number of fun contest activities for everyone, each will come with exciting prizes like fuel vouchers and Petron mechandise.
