Taken on Sunday

One part of the old gaol is left, and you can do tours through there with ex inmates and guards as the guides. It is very interesting. There are also markets outside. A new science centre has been built over part of the old gaol.

A couple of 90's aerials to show what it looked like from above, the bigger, newer white prison is almost completely gone.

I did it when I was younger. I was scared out of my mind. That whole goal is creepy. The writing on the cell walls, the noises it makes, you see shadows and crap yourself. It's worth it, but holy crap.

Yep - it's a good tour for sure.

Interesting old place. Depressing, but interesting.

were you on any substances back then or did you see them? i am not sceptical about seeing mediums, however like seeing ufo's, some people often say you must have been on something to see the unordinary... btw i was not on the bottle when i saw my first ufo.

i wonder if that redevelopment proposed does go ahead now that there is a change of government?

This may sound crazy but i hope all the spirits within the place don't get offended by part of their territory being torn down!

i think if there are less people on the site at any one time, the chances of seeing spirit mediums would be higher than if the place became more commercialised.

i should see the place before the atmosphere there changes....

^^ The redevelopment process was originally put in place under the Bligh Labor Government – I don't see it changing given how advanced the plans are. I'm expecting to see the DA lodged with Council fairly soon.
