Its good to see the development up and running. Hopefully this will start the regeneration of the rest of the area

Thats already started. AC Marriott has almost completed, StayCity has commenced piling next door, there a number of proposals to convert the warehouses and Thompson Street proposal starts on site in November.

I don't mind these, the area west of Oldham Road needed buildings this shade to break up the redbrick making it a lot more welcoming.

I think I'm changing my mind on these, I'm very underwhelmed from what I've seen so far but it's probably best to wait and see the final product. That said, given how bad this area of town was, any kind of regeneration here is to be welcomed.
