Great photos!!!
My thoughts exactly. The dogs, strollers, and bikes shouldn't be allowed. Dangerous, annoying, and just plain stupid.thanks. I missed it last year. I went up today for about 2 hours and got kinda tired of people being all over me the whole time. But I got what i could. Strollers are the devil.
Sweet!Saw this in a parking lot on my way there. Thought it was awesome.
Indeed. City Hall and Liberty will have scaffolding on their beautiful structures forever it seems... Renovations are good though, just not when they take their sweet time.i am not sure. almost looks like they are doing some touchups or maintenance on it. They are re-doing everything in buffalo it seems.
Buffalo...:cheers:I remember when he had Buffalo forumer meets I went to, we went through the Allentown Art Festival and the weather always seems beautiful. Something about it. Buffalo is, as usual, LOOKING GOOD.

Though, I had a great time albeit these constant threats, got myself a few pictures too! Perhaps I'll share later.![]()
It's a 2-day festival...on a weekend. I think they can survive.i can see limiting dogs and bikes. but strollers? i have to think this would hurt the turnout. people have kids, and they can't be expected to carry them everywhere, especially if they have more than one.
personally i think people should get a baby sitter for small kids if they are going to an event like this. mandating it however, is unrealistic.
the other consideration is for people who live directly on allen, delaware, or the other streets where the festival itself takes place. should these people not be allowed to walk their dog, or their baby, or walk their bike out of the festival area? doing so requires them to walk through atleast part of the festival area. what about people who work in allentown and ride their bikes to work?
remember, this is an area with a large residential concentration, and mandates of any kind need to be fair to the people who actually live and/or work there.
Yeah my freshly popped kettle corn flew all over the place, lol.its not really the strollers that are the problem it is how the people wield them. Stopping short and turning without notice. Could be messy. If you were eating a 2 lb. eclair and tripped, Bavarian cream would be everywhere.
maybe your dog can stay inside and not shit in the house for two days, mine can't.It's a 2-day festival...on a weekend. I think they can survive.
Did you attend? You would be shocked at the sizes of the strollers and wagons people were bringing in! Crazy.
I agree. I had no intention of banning them completely, but I'm sure people can take their dogs for a walk before they go to the festival.maybe your dog can stay inside and not shit in the house for two days, mine can't.
i'm not suggesting you are wrong. i think its downright rude for people who do not live in allentown to bring their dogs to the festival. i also think those who do not live or work in allentown should lock their bikes up outside of the festival area. i just feel that banning them altogether would set a harmful precident towards those who have a full time vested interest in the neighborhood.
