Let's start by checking in at the Dulski re-vamp.

The Dulski, Federal Courthouse and Statler construction sites from the City Hall observation deck.

Toward Lafayette Square.

Toward Blue Cross and Lake Erie.

When you take you've got to give
So love and let live, or let go
I beg your pardon, I never promised you a rose garden.
I could promise you things like big diamond rings
But you don't find roses growin' on stalks of clover.
So you better think it over.
Well, if sweet-talkin' you could make it come true
I would hand you the world right now on a silver platter
But what would it matter?
So smile for a while and let's be jolly
Life shouldn't be so melancholy.
Come along and share the good times while we can...

I could sing you a tune or promise you the moon
But if that's what it takes to hold you I'd just as soon let you go
But there's one thing I want you to know
You better look before you leap, still waters run deep
And there won't always be someone there to pull you out
That's just what I'm talkin' about
So smile for a while and let's be jolly
Life shouldn't be so melancholy.
Come along and share the good times while we can

West Side - Thanks for the pics. I actually had one of my very infrequent trips to Buffalo a few weeks ago and, oddly enough, never made it west of Transit Road (I was staying in Clarence).

The Dulski Bldg and Courthouse are really coming along...good to see.

I may be out of my mind here, but with the addition of the new waterfront tower, isnt the Erie Basin area beginning to look a little Californian, especially on such a nice day?

Did you guys know the Erie Basin Marina is shaped like a Buffalo? I never knew that until I was up in the City Hall observation tower recently.

Great pics btw.

Florida would cut it too as a comparison, you are correct. Not joking, the waterfront has the potential to be a nice big flashy thing in the upcoming decades, and will hopefully stretch for miles.

As for the Court St gap, I am more than a little disappointed regarding that. THAT is the location for a "signature tower" that would alter the skyline. Court St is one of the more dramatic and "complete" streets downtown (complete in that it is two ways, wide, grand architecture) and has an air of importance. I wish times were better...this is truly a location for a 30+ story building, ridiculously close to mass transit.

It is a crime to have that lot empty. You could put such a great building there. A prime piece of real estate like that would not sit empty in any other city.

I'd like to see another tower go up next to the new Pasquale and fill in that gap. I think the waterfront is finally coming around with that project, the inner harbor development and the freezer queen site leading the way.

The Dulski's taking shape very nicely, as is the new federal courthouse! You couldn't have picked a nicer day to take those pics!

Cleveland and Rochester both have many similar gaps.

Grea pictures tho, is there a better block in town than the midway!
