here are my pictures from the city of buffalo from my trip to the area. since i don't have many city photos, i scaled these down. i have a lot of photos from up and down the niagara river, and i have a lot of photos from my drive up anddrive down, so i most likely won't be scaling them down since it will take forever to upload them as it is.

Great shots, but I have a question for all Buffalonians, is the Hotel Lafeyette still a functioning hotel? Just a stuipd question .
Great pictures, I like when you scale them down, easier for me to see.
Agreed. Sometimes I like large panos, but for "ordinary" type photos like these, there's little more annoying than having to scroll over 3 1/2 monitors just to read the captions.

Looks like you picked a pretty good day to take pictures, I'd say they turned out quite nicely.

Gotta claim ignorance on that one. I don't know. Sad, because I drive by it every day. I just like the sign up top, I miss those on buildings. I wish the Liberty Building still had the huge sign frame/gantry on the roof, even if Liberty Bank has been gone for eons...

blang-
Good question. I think it caters to long-term stays, at cheap rents. I'm guessing if you asked for a room for a night you'd be able to get one, but it isn't the nicest place in town by a long shot. It is begging for new owners and for the transmission tower to be taken down. There are quite a few redevelopment projects taking place on nearby blocks- hopefully the Lafayette's time is coming.

Nice pics!!!

cool thing about it...it's the like the first major hotel designed by a woman. I think it's just rooms, you probably won't find a valet parking guy, a continental breakfast or ice sculptures in the lobby.

It is a nice place, the building needs to lose the blue details, and the radio tower, as stated...that should go on the telephone building with the rest of NASA's collection of junk. lol

I hate the blue detail on that hotel too. It makes it look cheap.

let's start a petition to remove the blue paint!
nice photos xzmattzx!
What a day to take them, too. I've been on that Chapin Parkway before taking houses, too. Great job!

BTW, have any of you guys checked out his Philly/Buffalo game pics? I think I was the only one who gave a reply. :)
