Bulacan delegates composed of 34 local officials of this province including Pandi Mayor Enrico Roque arrived on Sunday from a successful 3-day meeting with the group of Chinese investors and government officials from Loudi City and Hunan province of the Peoples Republic of China wherein the purpose of the meeting is to finalize the intent 50-billion investment of Chinese investors in Bulacan.
The Bulacan officials led by Governor Fernando met Governor Xu Dazhe of Hunan Province and other Chinese officials in China wherein a Sisterhood Ceremony was held first establishing “Friendship Relationship” between the City Government of Loudi of the People’s Republic of China.
Fernando on Tuesday (Sept. 24) said he is confident that the multi-billion investment will start as soonest time possible.
Pandi Mayor Enrico A. Roque, who was appointed by the provincial government of Bulacan in setting the initial and preliminary negotiations said, after the ceremony, Fernando met Dazhe and some Chinese investors where they finally formalized their plan to invest P50 billion in the province of Bulacan.
“The project will be called Bulacan Mega City, the soon-to-rise 400-hectares project that will be constructed in three municipalities of the province including the towns of Pandi, Balagtas and Bocaue,” Roque said.
Gov. Fernando said it is expected to create 100,000 jobs for the Bulakenyos which will also pave way to Philippine International Outlet Stores, shopping mall, techno hub, factory outlets, industrial factories, warehouse and call centers to name a few.
Last year, Bulacan officials headed by then Governor Wilhelmino Sy-Alvarado and Fernando with Governor Xu Dazhe of Hunan Province led the signing ceremony of the Letter of Intent on the establishment of the friendship relationships between the two provinces.
It was learned that a Rome/Italian Inspired Stop Over which will be called Bulacan Mega City Pandi Economic Zone will soon to erect and will house commercial establishments, malls, industrial factories and warehouses and more funded by Chinese Investors.
The plan for the Mega City project includes the Pandi Exit of the North Luzon Expressway, which is 900 meters to Pandi, 150 meters to Balagtas, 220 meters to Bocaue,16 kms to Angat, and 15 kms. to Bustos, is almost 90 percent complete.
“On its expected groundbreaking come early next year, big companies will be there to support us including Sta. Lucia Group of Companies, SM and St. Lukes, that will generates 100,000 job opportunities for Bulakenyos. ” Fernando said.
The said future venture was made possible through the initiatives of Bulacan Economic Team headed by Roque with Bulakan Vice Mayor Patrick Meneses and former City of San Jose Del Monte Mayor Rey San Pedro.
Fernando added that the Bulacan economic team members have persuaded the governor of Hunan China for a P50-Billion private investments which also includes the MRT alignment project from San Jose del Monte City to Balagtas, NLEX toll exit for the town of Pandi and Balagtas, infra projects for the International airports proposed to be set up in Bulakan town, among others.
The said development will also connect the MRT 7 Pandi-San Jose Del Monte City-Trinoma Railway will not only aid in generating jobs but will help in boosting the developing industry in the province through its ease of access and speedy transportation. Roque ended."
