BURU BURU | The Point | U/C

There is a new development where formerly NCCK stalls stood next to Buruburu phase 5. It is called The Point. There was talk that a shopping mall was coming up there but what is being constructed on the 7 acre plot is something that looks like go downs.

What I know for sure is that is will be some kind of shopping center (the owners have advertised for commercial spaces to let) and Naivas has already put their "Opening Soon" billboard.

Work has been going on at the site day and night. I took this from the Kenol petrol station last weekend.

Yes, I took this from Kenol where Pizza Inn is located.

The Metropolitan Hospital expansion is almost complete. I keep forgetting to take some shots when I pass by. It is a big improvement from the original structure and will put the facility in another league. I will try to get some shots this weekend.
yeah, so am right,thanks!

I saw a render of this as I passed by. I was far but it seemed like 5 floors or so. So it is not the tallest in Buru. But it might be the tallest in Phase 4 and 5. At the Shopping Center and Mesora shopping center, there are 5+ stories I believe.

Oooh,i see,and Lol,Mesora still exisist,it is the one opposite buruburu police station right, you know where Prudential estate is?,got a familiy member living there,so you checked the render,it's ok,though buruburu is growing, now what they need to do is to make the shopping centre opposite bidii school, very tidy,i realised the place is vey dirty and disorganised Fwesa?!

I gave up on that one. That place is ever getting worse.
I managed to get into The Point site yesterday. None of the guys on site had the design documents (was told to come back on Wednesday). So I could not establish the total size of shop space available. However, based on my estimation, the space should be comparable to Greenspan Mall (if not larger).

Although they have not called it a mall (I guess due to its poor Go-down like design), it definitely has everything a mall should have: A very large anchor supermarket, banks, foot courts, shops, etc. It stands on 7 acres of land. Plenty of parking space will be provided. I was told they expect to complete in August.

I tried to draw the layout as I saw it.

Below are a few shots.

And plenty of space reserved for parking (below), for now.

The parking at this place will sure make this new joint popular. I see Tuskys and Uchumi losing out to Naivas due to the chronic jams and lack of adequate parking at their current locations.
