I decided to create a new thead about this topic coz air traffic in Eastern Europe is growing rapidly recent years so let see how and where.

whats the point to post information about 2003 in such dynamic region as eastern europe? many of egions arisport since 2004 have gowth of 50 to 80%. And there are already date about 2005 available and the first results for 2006 too.

Sofia passed the 2m mark last year, and Varna and Burgas get around 1.5m each

I'll be very happy if you could update thoso old figures coz for some airports is impossible to find actual figures.
Take a look at Riga airport for example and try to find statistics about passangers to start off ...
Kyiv's airport can't take the flow. New airport will be constructed soon, in addition to new terminal, most likely.

Миналото лято само в Бургас са кацнали и отлетели 1,6 млн. пътници, а през това лято се очаква броят им да се увеличи с още 6%. През Варненското летище пък са преминали 1,550 млн. души през 2005 г., което е с 16% повече в сравнение с предходната година. Наскоро и председателят на Българската хотелиерска и ресторантьорска асоциация Благой Рагин алармира, че 80% от оплакванията на чуждестранните туристи са от претоварените летища. Скоро ще стане ясно дали държавата ще продължи да подлага на изпитание търпението на чужденците и ще рискува да изгуби над 2 милиарда евро, колкото са приходите ни от туризма през м.г.

a little critics: wikipedia is not the best and valuable source of information,OK

however, updates of these mantioned informations are very welcomed :)
