The black limousine immediately following the Range Rover is like nothing I have seen before, and the fact it is apart of the royal motorcade, along with having police lights puzzles me.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Alright, it does appear to be an XJ, but does anyone know anything about the one seen here? what it is for? who it belongs to? who stretched/armoured it?

I just find it odd and completely ununiform.

The old Daimler limousines have recently been replaced with new stretch XJs. The Daimlers were too old for regular use and have been retired.

You can see that car and its predecessor here, both with the same NGN 2 registration (http://www.carxmotor.com/2013/07/11...on-display/jaguar-xj-lwb-semi-state-limousine). These are used as backup cars to the Rolls Royce and Bentley fleet and are often referred to as semi-state cars, which is why they have registration plates.
