Can the Brisbane Lions win the Flag again this year or is there run over?

There's 16 teams that can win the flag.
^^ Technically true, however in reality, Richmond and Fremantle are part of the competition.
They can, but my money would be on someone else winning it. Some of the experts on afl.com reckon West Coast are likely to be hot this year. I also like the theory that Sydney are a dark horse contended. I've always been thinking Sydney will do better than they end up doing though...
I'd say that there's a fair chance my mob will be around the mark again this year...
The only thing I really care about this year, if Hawthorn don't make the finals, is that we finish on top of the fucking scumbags, Essendon. If we don't, then I want Essendon to finish 9th - a fate worse than 16th.

Nobody in your city likes port anyway. :bash:

you lost two good players, you lost your tutch. But you will beat the dockers. :)
We lost our tutch?? Shit 'ey, not the tutch............

Not to mention their fitness staff, an assistant coach and an ex player. Alastair Clarkson must have a fair bit of respect.

In a word.......... Yes!!
Sydney! That way i'll get to see more AFL games instead of NRL! I prefer Super 12! Go the Tahs
Should be a great game tonight with the ageing old bull Brisbane taking on the younger up and comers St Kilda.

Yay - we won!
Nick Rewaldt broke his collar bone right in front of us - you could here it! He'll be out for 8 week now, sorry St Kilda.

Even worse for Riewoldt it looks more like 12 weeks with a double fracture of the collarbone. Ouch!
Did you see the Lions players go for him straight afterwards though? Sure it was in the rules... but I think it is bad sportsmanship, bam, bam, bam... he was obviously injured and was making his way off and they do that. Bad Lions, bad :nono:

No it wasn't bad sportsmanship. The lions players had no idea of the seriousness of the injury and Riewoldt wasn't obviously seriously injured on the ground.

Scott and Michael certainly knew Nick was injured but nothing they did was terribly bad sportsmanship. Just a good old fashioned show no mercy approach. All the crap in the media would have you believe the Brisbane players were kicking a player while he was still on the ground.
Yep a great gutsy win to Brisbane the " old bulls " still know how to win pressure games.
