If you have read any of my recent messages in other threads, you may notice that I hate when one part of Canada rags on another. So I decided to start a thread on just this subject. We as a country seem so bitter towards other parts of the country, whether it be province to province, or city vs city.

B.C is a bunch of weed smoking hippies. Alberta are a bunch of backwards hicks. The Praires are nothing more than simpleton farmers. Ontario is arrogant and ignorant. Quebec is selfish and destructive. Maritimes always blame others for their woes.

Vancouver is a wannabe Toronto in denial. Calgary is Houston in training. Winnipeg is the little engine that could'nt. Montreal thinks it's all that and a bag of chips. Oh and Toronto, the centre-of-the-universe, ignorant, snobby, high-strung socialists of Canada.

Message to Western Canadians who whine about Alienation, Ontarians who whine about being superceded by Toronto's wishes, Torontonians whining about being screwed by equalization, Quebecers whining about not having enough autonamy, and Maritimes whining about not having been screwed in regards to constitutional agreements....F^*#KING GROW THE HELL UP ALL OF YOU!!!

All of the above are based on what I have read in threads, newspapers, chatrooms, and many other sources over the years. I personally absolutely DESPISE IT. Why is it that we--being in one of the most peaceful, greatest, multicultural, tolerant nations on this planet--take it upon ourselves to insult parts of Canada so much, and then go around preaching how much we love Canada (Que. separtists excluded). Do we then not really love Canada at all, but only our region of Canada. If that's the case, hell lets all just separate and be done with it.

Some will say that this behaviour is natural, and every country has this (ie USA). Most will say i'm over reacting. I disagree. What we have here is so vile, and full of hatred. A friend of mine who lived in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver told me that she avoided telling others where she was from before for fear of being insulted. She's now in Toronto, and does'nt talk about living in Montreal.

Not sure where i'm going with this thread, but I guess I just wanted to know if i'm alone in this thought process, or others notice it too. Does anyone even really care in fact?

There is one thing that Canadians from all provinces bitch about uniformaly with equal fever from coast to coast to coast.........."the fuckin Americans". I think we should try to put the phrase in O'Canada.....even the separists we probably go for it.

Agree with that. I try not to but get caught doing it myself. It's part of our culture I guess. Canada insults USA in an attempt to be different from them. Fear of assimilation really. But having Cdn's go against another country is one thing, but against your own. That's what I can't understand.

Its all true. Every single word of it.

But I cant let this thread continue because I am sure some people would disagree with me.
