Never really liked the US Capital.
Well just because they were built on European models does not mean that they have to be such blatant copies. The Brits went about building a new parliament that was also just an imitation of neo-Gothic style but they a large element to make it unique. Yes Canada's parliament has a big clock, but it ain't a Big Ben.Taller said:Hardly surprising they are built on European models considering both were
ex-European colonies. I would have been surprised if they both were modeled
after igloos or tee-pees. I am biased, but prefer the Canadian; I am sure it is just because I am more familiar with it. I love both of them, though. Either
could win the competition here.
That is not surprising you would find that, as the architect was Scottish, sotonytowers said:I vote for the U.S. Capitol.
Both are fantastic buildings but, I feel the canadian parliament looks more like a university. Whereas the Capitol has a much more unique look and doen't look like it could be used for anthing else except government assembly.
Fortunately most people aren't as lame as this poor guyemutiny said:picture of the capital is not working so i voted for it
